Events

As a member of ECU Robotics, you will have exclusive access to workshops run by the society that is designed to up-skill students in the field of robotics. Our events cater for everyone from beginners to more advanced individuals. Below is a list of our events, for more information regarding our events contact us via Admin@ECURobotics.com.

Solidworks - Workshop

Computer Aided Modelling (CAD) can be used anywhere from rapid prototyping to designing.

SolidWorks Workshop is held semesterly and aimed towards training students in using industry-standard software. This workshop also offers students the opportunity to 3D print a design as part of their learning.

Arduino/C++ - Workshop

Critical to prototyping and automating various systems, Arduino and C++ are extensively used across the world as a platform experimenting with programming and integrating sensors.

Arduino Workshop is held semesterly and aimed towards training students in the basics of programming Arduino microcontrollers with various hardware.

Linux - Workshop

Utilized heavily in the Computer Science and Engineering industry for programming, servers and ROS.

The Linux Workshop is run yearly and covers the installation of Ubuntu Operating System alongside general Command Line Interface (CLI) techniques.

Robotics Operating System - Workshop

Robotics Operating System (ROS) is a programming language run on Linux-based operating systems. ROS is powerful enough to support software libraries and tools that help build systems between various robotic applications.

ROS Workshop is run yearly and will upskill students in simulating physics and programming robot models.
